Today, we kick off the Halloween Blog Swap… and my first guest this month is Nicholas Olivo. He’s the author of IMPERIUM and let me ask him some Halloween questions…
What’s your favorite thing about Halloween?
The candy. Any time you can just walk up to someone’s house and get Snickers, that’s awesome.
Has anything ever REALLY scared you on Halloween?
The stories about people putting razor blades in apples and candy freaked me out for a while.
If you could keep one thing from Halloween all year round what would it be?
The ability to just go up to someone’s house and get candy. 😉
What’s the scariest creature of Halloween?
I’m not big on zombies. They smell bad, look worse and they will keep coming at you even if you kick them in the crotch. When cheap shots don’t work against a monster, that’s unsettling.
What was your best costume ever?
My Clark Kent outfit.
You can go from business casual to full blown costume just by undoing a couple of buttons.
What was your worst costume ever?
When I was a kid a buddy of mine and I made our own Transformers costumes out of cardboard boxes and tinfoil. We thought we’d look cool, but in retrospect, we just looked like a couple of kids wearing cardboard boxes.
Here’s the blurb for IMPERIUM:
Vincent Corinthos leads a triple life. As a secret agent, he handles paranormal threats; as a god, he protects his followers from evil forces; as a stock clerk, he keeps the back room of an antique store tidy.
When one of his fellow agents goes missing, Vincent begins with the usual suspects. His investigation reveals that Boston’s latest supernatural threat is also waging war on his followers, and has diabolic intentions for the city’s paranormal citizens.
Now, with the aid of a new partner and a gremlin, Vincent must locate the missing agent, defend his followers and learn the identity of his adversaries before they can revive a malevolent force that’s been dormant since World War II.
